Arriving at Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery.
The children learned that there are only monks living in the monastery. The nun who took us around lives off site.

The children counted and found that there were 5 dragon heads by the water and 4 mythical creatures on the wall which is supposed to be a mirror.
Walking into the monastery.
The children learned that we as humble people should enter the monastery only through the left or right doorways, and never in the middle. The centre is meant for someone of very high status.

There are two devas that accompany the Buddha on each side.
Viewing the lotus flower. There are also fishes in the water to keep an ecosystem.
The dining hall.
No loud sharp noises are allowed in the monastery. A rhythm is played on this wooden piece to signify meal time.
The children greeted a monk by putting two palms together near their chest, giving eye contact and smiling.
In the Virtue Hall to view the reclining Buddha at final state. Chanting can be heard in the background.
